I am very partial to bassy headphones and these have it in spades without being a bass cans. The mids and highs are perfectly balanced to blend with the lows and give you a blow out sound. I use these for EDM, R&B, Rap, Jazz, Blues, country, and movies. I did find them a bit lacking for classical music and studio work but for everything else, they are my go to when sitting at my desk. They are on the heavy side but as comfortable as you can get for cans of this size. The jacks do sit in a bit of an awkward place so you may find yourself pushing the head strap towards the back of your head in order to keep them from hitting your shoulders when you look down. The ear pads are gloriously plush and comfortable and the head band pressure is strong enough to keep them in place but not so tight that they will get uncomfortable. I tend to run mine from my balanced amp because I like the sound so much better that way. If you get the chance to try them out, you should go for it.

Some reviews said these are big and heavy, I took a shot and bought them and I don’t find that at all , nice big cushiony pads , I listen for an hour or two and don’t feel them at all, as far as sound goes, I don’t know all the audiophile speak, but these sound awesome, I’ve had some pricey headphones, and these blow them away, a lot of detail in the sound I would definitely recommend these Enjoy

First of all, processing the listener is sensational. Sound: the entire spectrum up to the deepest layers super. All Yello CD's sound particularly good, where a new sound dimension opens up. Spatial Figure: Depth staggering exists, but could go more into the depth. Impulse behavior: that's probably not all. Comfortable to wear: in the hand: first very heavy, on the head: the most comfortable headphones I know; also because of the extended ear pads: the ears do not touch anywhere in width, height or depth! (despite big ears) Sensational. And the most beautiful, because of the closed construction! : You hear less of the environment (ups and mids are sensationally muffled away) and the roommate is not annoyed. Clear recommendation for purchase.

I've never heard such a sound from headphones before

The things that stand out for me about this headphone: clean sound, forward mids, excellent bass response, and smooth, non-piercing treble.

Pure music enjoyment. My first and only headphones in this price segment. That's why I save myself comparisons and details. With the matching KH amplifier at any rate from a layman's point of view, at a good level without flaws or bigger flaws.

Unreal sound quality. I’ve been through many a headphone and still use (depending on the situation) higher end headphones. The level of clarity, musicality and spaciousness of these cans never cease to amaze me. I could listen all day! Paired with the right gear they will surely take your listening to another level. However I have to say in all truth the lack of sound isolation may throw you off if that’s important to you. They sit somewhere between semi- open and closed in this arena. They are heavy and quite massive but also very comfortable. I run them balanced and non balanced and sound great either way. Balanced adds a tad more to the low end frequencies and further reduces distortion but also can take from overall musicality. My kids love them too as you can tell...
